WHAT WE BUILD
An AI coding harness built around the way you build.
UseCoded brings the context, tools, models, and workflow around an AI-assisted coding session into a single layer.

WHY USECODED EXISTS
More people should be able to build with frontier technology.
Cost
Advanced coding workflows are powerful, but running them at length gets expensive.
Context
Long sessions accumulate context, and much of it is carried further than it needs to be.
Shape
Most setups are fixed, so they rarely fit how a particular developer actually works.
PERSONALIZED HARNESSES
One harness. Different ways to build.
Different workflows need different harness behaviour. The same harness can be shaped around the environment, constraints, and goals of a particular kind of work.

FIRST SPECIALIZED HARNESS
Built for hackathons first.
The first specialized harness is being shaped around hackathon teams: a harness designed around that environment, its constraints, and its workflow.

FOUNDER
Built by
“I want more people around the world to build with frontier technology without complexity or cost becoming the barrier.”
SANIA ANEES
FOUNDER, USECODED
I care about systems optimisation and try to apply that mindset wherever it helps. My interests sit across AI systems, multi-agent workflows, and low-level systems. Right now I’m spending most of my time working with frontier models while strengthening my fundamentals across areas such as CUDA, Rust, and Go.
ORIGIN
How it started
ORIGIN
01Experimenting
Experimenting with AI coding agents.
- 02
Normalizer
Built a request normalizer to keep important request structure stable.
- 03
Local proxy
The experiment became local tooling around the agent workflow.
- CURRENT04
AI coding harness
The architecture expanded into the harness being built today.
- 05
Personalized harness
The harness is being shaped for different workflows.

RESULT
Requests from your workflow enter the harness and the result returns along the same path.
LOCAL-FIRST
The current implementation runs locally.
DEVELOPER-OWNED
The workflow stays centered around the tools you already use.
VISIBLE
Usage, tokens, caching, and execution behavior should be inspectable.
EVOLVING
The harness should adapt as models, agents, and workflows change.
CURRENT IMPLEMENTATION
The current implementation runs locally and uses the local machine as the execution boundary for the workflow. Provider keys stay on that machine, and request normalization happens in the same process.
PROOF
Built to be measured.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Why was UseCoded started?
By building the underlying infrastructure first and learning where repeated context and drifting request structure were costing real time and money. That work became the foundation for the harness.
Who is UseCoded for?
Developers and engineering teams running AI coding agents, plus solo builders who care about efficiency. Students and hackathon teams are part of the direction.
Does UseCoded replace my coding agent?
No. It is the layer around the workflow you already run, so you keep your agent and your provider key.
How does UseCoded approach context and token efficiency?
It treats repeated context and request structure as first-class problems, so the parts that repeat stay stable and can be reused. The target is unnecessary repeated context, not a fixed percentage.
What is a personalized harness?
A harness shaped around a specific person, environment, or workflow instead of one fixed setup. It is current capability, not a future idea.
What is the Hackathon Harness?
The first specialized harness, shaped around hackathon teams and their environment. It is being shipped, not a public adoption claim.
Where does UseCoded run?
The current implementation runs locally and uses your machine as the execution boundary.
BUILD AT THE EDGE.
UseCoded is being built for people who want to experiment, build, and work with increasingly capable AI systems without unnecessary cost and complexity becoming the barrier.
